No, that's not the complete title.
Jeff Goldblum gets to play the New Jersey Cowboy in this hilarious Sci-Fi ride across multiple dimensions with Red and Black Lectoids. Beware the John's, and hold onto your seat.
Amazing film. This was so good, that one of the American film studios bought the rights and remade it in English. I've heard that the remake wasn't nearly as good as the original, even though they copied it practically scene for scene.
The basis of the film is that Nikita (Anne Prillard), is involved in a drug-store burglary that ends up in the death of 4 or 5 police officers. She is sentenced to life, but is instead covertly shuffled into a CIA-esque French training facility. Oh, I guess I forgot to mention that this movie is entirely in French. I should also warn you that some scenes in this movie sound really wrong in English, so get the subtitled version. If you know French, most of it is pretty easy to follow if you decide to skip the reading of the subtitles.
Anyway, eventually she gets to become a secret agent of the assassin variety (making that Sylvester guy look like an emotional wimp). I won't give you any more details, because the movie really should be watched with as little forwarning as possible (though I've already given quite a bit away).
Wow. Mix in the plots of finding true love, a maniac killer, an S/M Psychic Prostitute, and you've got the basis of this Canadian film. Right off the top I can't think of any of the actor's or actresses' names, but they all do an incredible job (well, anyone that shows up for more than 1 scene, that is).
Warning: if you think too much about the ending, there is a really bad pun in there.
Need I say more?
Attitude Attitude Attitude.
Awesome future post-disaster romp including lots of twisted humor and NO WATER.

Lea Thompson gives a stellar performance in this film of a rookie cop's
first day on the job. When you notice 1/2 way through a film that you have
a very strong sense of a character, and that they've only said about 10
lines, you know there is something very strong there. Great performances
from many very good people include Christopher Lambert, Laura Anderson ??

This one qualifies as a must-see wonderful find. The only problem I had with the movie was the 6 or 7 previews! "Wow, there's actually a movie on this tape" was the quote from one of the roomies.
