[an error occurred while processing this directive] OK. I've been putting this off for long enough.
Here's the new look for the site. And now that it's "official", maybe I'll actually clean it up a bit. *grin*

You can still get to the old site at www.netscum.com/~spider/index_old.html but I'm going to be slo-oo-oo-owly tearing it apart.

All you folks out there who need web consultants? Check out my resumé.

A little bit about me:

Born February 11th (Thomas Edison's birthday), I was expected to be a boy. I would have been Django Reinhardt Feldthouse and that would never do so I chose girl instead. My parents named me Sarinda (a marked improvement).

My childhood was full of books and music (pretty ideal, 'ey what?). Our property bordered state forest, so I had a huge backyard full of moss and mushrooms. (I can still ID a cortinarius at 20 paces.)

Adolescence brought its requisite insanity which I somehow survived.

Crazy College Years (tm): Mech. E. at MIT. Very intense place. If it weren't for the people I met, I'd be tempted to label that one a mistake. But I made it through.

I've come out of this history with a pretty clear idea of who I am and what I want. I don't feel the need to go into further gory detail here. If you want to know, you'll ask.

High on my list of favorite activities is talking about subjects of substance with people who are there to discuss, not there to win. All too often, people get their knickers in a twist because I don't agree with them. What they fail to realize is that the disagreement is what makes the conversation interesting.

With that in mind, here are a few opinions that I've commited to screen. I'm deliberately extreme or one-sided in some of these opinions because I'm trying to elicit a response. Don't bother to flame me, but if you disagree I'd love to hear it.
